The New York Mets managed to win their home opener against the Philadelphia Phillies 7-2 on Friday afternoon.
Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom pitched six innings and posted an ERA of 1.50.
Neil Walker (2), Lucas Duda (2), Yoenis Cespedes, David Wright and Michael Conforto scored runs for the Mets, while Jerad Eickhoff and Peter Bourjos scored runs for the Phillies.
