Both will try to move up from last place in their respective divisions when the team's face off in Arizona on Monday night for tje first game in the series.

The Yankees are fresh off a series victory against the AL Central-leading Chicago White Sox, as the Yankees won the final game of that series on Sunday by a score of 2-1.

''It really shows we're capable of winning against good teams,'' Carlos Beltran said.

The Diamondbacks are fresh off a 2-1 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Sunday.

TAMPA, FL - The New York Islanders on Sunday were eliminated from the 2016 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs by the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Lightning defeated the Islanders 4-0 in Game 5 of their second round series on Sunday,. The Lightning will face the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2016 Eastern Conference Finals.
